JOH will switch to fully Open Access

Starting September 1, 2017, Journal of Occupational Health (JOH) will become an open-access journal. For manuscripts originally submitted on or after the date, the copyrights of manuscripts will remain with the authors even after their acceptance for publication in JOH under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.(
However, anyone may download, reuse, copy, reprint, distribute, or modify articles published in the JOH for not-for-profit purposes under the same license, if they cite the original authors and source properly. For commercial use, please contact the author to obtain permission.

For manuscripts submitted on or after September 1, 2017, article processing fee (APC) of 60,000 yen (80,000yen for non-members of JSOH) will be charged upon acceptance of manuscript for publication in JOH.

In addition, if color figures are requested for the printed version, the authors are charged for the color-figure of 70,000 Japanese yen per page. The color figure(s) will appear in color in the online version free of charge to authors.

Authors must assign copyright to the Japan Society for Occupational Health (JSOH) for manuscripts submitted prior to September 1, 2017.

In regards to the charges related to the publication in JOH, for manuscripts submitted prior to September 1, 2017, the authors are responsible for additional-page charge of 10,000 yen per page for any papers with more than 6 printed pages and color-page charge of 70,000 yen per page.
